August 2014 – The Gluten Free Canteen is a baking blog filled with sweet and savory recipes, some dairy-free or grain-free. There are plenty of seasonal recipes including many for holidays we celebrate in the fall like Rosh Hashanah, Halloween, and Thanksgiving.

These recipes are just a few of the fall favorites from Gluten Free Canteen – think the great pumpkin and fall apples baked into cookies, coffee cake, cupcakes and pie.

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cupcakes are going to be a hit at any Halloween gathering. They’re easy to prepare and all dairy-free.

Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal Cookies are full of nuts and raisins plus pumpkin butter, and pumpkin pie spice. The aroma of holiday will fill the house as they bake. One bowl, one wooden spoon – that’s all it takes to make these great dairy-free treats.

Tipsy Pumpkin Butter Pie is a dairy-free autumn dessert perfect for the holidays. Good quality pumpkin butter is an important ingredient in the pie and gives it an incredible flavor.

Apple Streusel Coffee Cake is one of those recipes that can be made with dairy or without. It’s a perfect weekend brunch treat that goes with that endless pot of coffee. Serve this cake slightly warm.
