Contribute to valuable celiac disease research by participating in a video interview or filling out questionnaires.

Our foundation is partnering with Global Patients, whose pharmaceutical client is conducting research to learn more about patient experiences with celiac disease. If you choose to participate in a study, you will receive an honorarium. You will also be helping our all-volunteer nonprofit foundation, which will receive an honorarium for referring you to the study. These studies are an exciting opportunity for people with celiac disease to have their voices heard.

Two current studies

1. Interviews

HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Adolescents with celiac disease and caretakers of children with celiac disease who may be interested in participating in an interview for this research project, please contact Joanna Rodriguez at joanna@global-patients.com.

  • Purpose of research: The aim of the research is to understand patients’ experiences living with celiac disease, including the symptoms and its impacts on their daily life. In addition, they would like your feedback on questionnaires about celiac disease that may be used in future clinical trials to develop treatments.
  • Participation: Participants in the study will be asked to take part in a one-time interview over a video-conferencing app, which will last around 90 minutes to 120 minutes.
  • Compensation: Participants will receive $175-$300, depending on the type of interview.
  • Eligibility: They are seeking adolescents ages 15-17 years old and also caregivers of children with celiac disease who are 1-10 years old. One form of confirmation of a celiac disease diagnosis must be provided, such as a serology test result.
  • Confidentiality: All information collected during this research project will be treated confidentially.
  • Please note: The study does not provide any medical treatment.
  • Company: Although the identity of the pharmaceutical company is blinded (anonymous) for the purpose of the study, we are partnering with them with knowledge of their identity to ensure your safety and to ensure that the study is consistent with our foundation’s mission.
